Building capacity
PAGE creates green economy learning environments and resources to help build the next generation of green economy leaders and support South-South cooperation and knowledge exchange.
A highlight of UNIDO’s recent work under PAGE is the Green Industry Summer School 2024, held in Vienna, which brought together experts and policymakers to explore practical solutions for sustainable industrial development.
This event emphasized circular economy principles, resource efficiency, and low-carbon technologies, equipping participants with the tools needed for green transformation
Generating knowledge
PAGE generates and shares knowledge products such as manuals, reports, lessons learned and best practices to inform and support national policy analysis and formulation.
Focusing on industrial policy advice, PAGE developed the “Green Industrial Policy Trilogy” to provide guidance to policymakers and green economy professionals in the use of policy options, so they can be a driver for a green economy transformation and highlight the social, environmental and economic co-benefits of green industrial policy.
These resources help countries integrate green policies into their industrial strategies, aligning with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
