PAGE Green Crossroads 2025

19 May 2025 - 20 May 2025
The third edition of the Green Crossroads conference will take place in Rabat, on 19-20 May 2025.
The event coincides with PAGE entering its final implementation phase and is realized back-to-back with the Regional Academy on Green Economy for Africa as part of Green Nexus Week.
The conference will feature a high-level plenary session and thematic sessions. Each session will be co-organized by one or more PAGE agencies along with relevant ministries and partners, aiming for collaborative problem-solving.
Strengthening Bridges towards a Green and Sustainable economy
Under the them “Strengthening Bridges towards a Green and Sustainable economy”, the annual conference aims to advance Morocco’s transition to a green and inclusive economy, by initiating a national dialogue and co-creating a roadmap for sustainable development. The conference is organized by PAGE, under UNIDO lead alongside with the MTEDD. It will target national stakeholders, institutions, policymakers, experts, private sector leaders, civil society, academia and international partners.
Green Nexus Week
Green Nexus Week brings together two key components in a unified platform for advancing sustainable development. At its core is the Green Crossroads Conference, a high-level national and regional forum dedicated to promoting a green and inclusive economic transformation. Complementing this is the Regional Green Economy Academy for Africa, which serves as a hub for training and capacity-building. This component focuses on the exchange of tools, best practices, and knowledge to support the green transition, with a particular emphasis on fostering South-South cooperation across the African continent.
PAGE Morocco
Morocco joined PAGE in 2019 and began implementation in April 2021. The Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development (MTEDD) serves as the government focal point. Nationally, Morocco has shown a strong commitment to sustainable development, demonstrated by the 2017 National Sustainable Development Strategy and the 2021 New Development Model, both focusing on sustainability.
PAGE
The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) is a joint initiative by five UN agencies: UNDP, UNEP, ILO, UNIDO, and UNITAR. It was launched in 2013 following the Rio+20 Conference, with the goal of supporting countries in transitioning towards more sustainable, inclusive, and environmentally friendly development paths.
