Partnership for Action
on Green Economy

2024Annual Report

In 2024, the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) rolled out its updated Strategy with the ambition to shift finance and investments for a just, circular and green economic transformation that improves human well-being. In view of economic uncertainties, limited funds, and climate threats, countries search for ways to manage tight fiscal space in nature and climate positive ways, promote green jobs as drivers of just transitions, and adopt circular approaches for increased resource efficiency. PAGE has again risen to the challenge by supporting governments across regions with economic policy analysis, building urgently needed capacity, and facilitating policy dialogues, knowledge exchange and South-South collaboration. In this new phase, PAGE puts emphasis on three essential and interlinked elements of the green transformation: circularity, green jobs and just transition, and sustainable finance.

  • Boosting green transitions in Brazil, Indonesia, South Africa and Kazakhstan

Brazil, Indonesia, South Africa and Kazakhstan will continue their journey with PAGE to transform  economies into drivers of sustainability.

  • Prioritizing just transition and finance in global outreach and exchange

Policy dialogues placed at 2024 international fora – Climate COP29, Biodiversity COP16, WCEF, OPN Forum, and Summit of the Future – drew attention to the critical role of just transition in NDCs and the urgent need to redirect public and private finance for building green, inclusive and nature-positive economies.
