PAGE Thailand and the Division of Postharvest and Processing Research and Development, Department of Agriculture of Thailand held a capacity building workshop on bio-circular-green economy in the agricultural sector, on 30-31 August 2023 in Bangkok.

PAGE National coordinator Suwimol Wattanawiroon encouraged researchers, officers, and policymakers to upscale their research to create new circular agricultural products in order to boost the circular ecosystem in the value chain.

The resource efficiency in agricultural practices and partnership strengthening among communities and local organizations were recommended during the round table discussion.

Division of Postharvest and Processing Research and Development, Department of Agriculture of Thailand is a member of the PAGE National Steering Committee.

Thailand joined PAGE in 2019. UNIDO and ILO are leading implementing agencies. UNIDO acts as the main coordinating agency for the PAGE project in Thailand.

Since 2013, PAGE brings together five UN agencies – UN Environment Programme (UNEP), International Labour Organization (ILO), UN Development Programme (UNDP), UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) – whose mandates, expertise and networks combined can offer integrated and holistic support to countries on inclusive green economy, ensuring coherence and avoiding duplication.
